Since I was interested in peace recently, I have searched how many people are working for peace. During I was searching this, I found that a Korean made peace agreement in Mindanao, Philippines. In brief introduction, Mindanao where the land is smaller than that of South Korea and the population is 20 million is the place where Muslims of Philippines are living. During the period of colony of United States, as christians of Philippines were moved and settled massively, the native people were cornered at the hinterland. This caused the war between the christians and muslims each other and there has been 170 thousand of casualties for 40 years. So Mindanao has been called the island of nightmare because of the war rather than called beautiful island. In this place, peace messengers preceeded the walking festival with 1000 people of youths and religious leaders beyond the their religion. And this day, they made the agreement of world peace each other, Finally they ceased the war for 40 years. When I saw this article, I thought the korean made the work of the paragon of world people. I hope there is no more war by coming peace quickly through amazing works like this and I want to participate in the work for peace though whatever.

There has been the religious war for 40 years at Mindanao Island, Philippines.
Since 1970, 200 thousand people has been sacrificed f
or the purpose of establishment of the independent Islamic country.
However, on 23rd Jan 2014, 3 people conclude the agreement for the world peace with the end of war.
The most influential Islamic group in Mindanao, MILF, finally come to this agreement for peace.
After agreement, the student of Mindanao can attend their school with wearing casual clothes, not military suit through the way of coexistence and harmony from the fear of war.
After finishing the walking festival, Mr. Manhee Lee, the chairman of HWPL gave a speech at General Santos hotel where the religious leader of Catholic and Islam, members of youth organizations and professors gathered.

In her picket, it says 'Thank you Korea and I love Korea.'

Through her message, I could feel that the peace, which they have desired, comes true.

Second story : About Dream of Peace !

When I saw that many peace organizations in the World are seeking the world peace, I want to work together for the peace. When I was at China, I saw many volunteers help the people of Wenchuan where there was big earthquake with sincere mind.

I was very impressed. So I will participate in this project, and I want to give this touching. Also, I saw many youth organizations of the world participated in walking festival. So, I wrote this with hoping everyone can become the peace constructors by many messages of peace and being touched and realization through this blog.

Dream world Peace !

Recently, As I become to know many youths in the world, I was more interested in peace. I could felt many young people have a strong desire for the peace.

I am writting for making the peace together. I have become naturally seeking many people who has worked for the peace. through this writing I want to convey the impression that I have felt throuth them.

First, Mother Teresa who served the poor in the World, Nelson Mandela who fought for freedom and human rights, Mahatma Ghandi who has been called by the warm sun through non-violental movement,

and Man hee Lee who is fulfilling the peace in this era, rerising sun, and the peace messenger, and many people. Through this blog, I wish all youths in the world become the dreamer for peace by thinking, being touched and acting.

New era of peace begins in Mindanao

Messenger of Peace Hosts a Peace Agreement Ceremony to Bridge the Gap between Catholic and Islamic Leaders

The new era of peace has begun in Mindanao Island. This region has suffered disputes between Catholic and Islam for about forty years and it has caused over 100,000 casualties. Manhee Lee has paid his third visit to Philippine and during his stay he has advised the Archbishop and three Bishops to sign a Peace Agreement at a Nunnery. The purpose of Chairman Lee’s visit was to conclude the Peace Agreement which can lead to settle the conflict in the Mindanao region. Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma (the diocese of Cagaya de Oro) has met Mr. Lee for the first time on September 2013 and ever since their meeting, he has continually invited the Chairman many times to pay a visit in Philippine and to respond, the Peace advocate has decided to travel despite the region’s tight vigilance.

 

World peace activist Chairman Lee hosted the Peace Walk in the downtown area of General Santos on January 24 where approximately 1,000 participants including students of Mindanao State University, members of International Youth Group, and religious leaders joined the event, transcending the boundaries of religion and nationality for the first time in this region. This movement created a great sensation and hopes among the Filipinos, who yearn for peace and it initiated a wave of peace within international societies, media, and people.

After the Peace Walk, students of Mindanao State University, Youth Groups, Mayors, University professors, Catholic leaders and Islamic leaders, who had participated in the Peace Walk gathered in the conference room of a hotel located in downtown General Santos. Speeches about conflict and the solution to peace in Mindanao Island were delivered in the following order: the representative of Catholic (Fernando Capalla, former archbishop of Mindanao Davao), the representative of Islam (Esmael, governor of Maguindanao, and Islamic autonomous district in

Mindanao) and Chairman Manhee Lee. The representatives of Catholic and Islam united to sign the peace agreement for ending the war and achieving World Peace and pledged to work together with Chairman Manhee Lee of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light). After signing the agreement, the representatives and Chairman Manhee Lee held the Peace Agreement Ceremony announcing that Catholic and Islam will never have disputes again before God, people of the world, and approximately 150 participants.

Although there has been a Peace Agreement meeting hosted by Philippine government and Islam autonomous region on 2012, it could not bring the conclusion of peace. In fact, it was a very first time for a representative of peace organization from South Korea to host a Peace Agreement in Philippine and the world was astonished at the sight of the change of the nation, from death to life. Philippine government did not hesitate to express the gratitude to the representative for his accomplishment and they opened a celebration to celebrate the memorable day.

State-run broadcasting stations and private broadcasting stations in the Philippine reported the event and it has not only surprised people but has also greatly inspired the citizens of the Philippine. Chairman Lee will not end his journey here but he will also conclude a Peace Agreement with Fidel Valdez Ramos, the former president of Philippine, on 29th and the news is being spotted already and is planned to be aired on numerous media including the nation and the world. The Chairman is planning to leave the country on 30th.
