The new era of peace has begun in Mindanao Island.

The new era of peace has begun in Mindanao Island.
There is Mindanao Island in the Philippines
At the beginning, Islamic people had lived in there but inflow of many people from other places in Philippines made them out of there and the economical problems happened. The Philippine government oppressed an Islamic group and that generated a civil war. Furthermore, around 85% of these pipelines were Catholic so there was not only the friction against a government but also the friction between Islam and Catholic.

Mindanao has suffered disputes for about forty years and it has caused over 100,000 casualties. Since then, Philippine government didn't expect the civil war would stay out longer and tried to end the war.
Although there has been a Peace Agreement meeting hosted by Philippine government and Islam autonomous region, it could not bring the conclusion of peace. Peace activist Manhee Lee visited the Philippines and the true peace came.
World peace activist Chairman Lee hosted the Peace Walk and also the representatives of Catholic and Islam united to sign the peace agreement for ending the war. They announced that Catholic and Islam will never have disputes again before approximately 150 participants.
I believe that true peace will come in this world form this event.

Martin Luther King and Peace .

Martin Luther King Jr. was born at Atlanta in United States as a son of Michael Luther King who was a pastor of baptism in Jan 15th, 1929. And he was dead at Memphis by shot when he was on the way to support the strike of Afro-American dustmen in April, 1968. He was one of the pastors who led the movement for human rights of Afro-American as the baptist pastor, activist for human rights of Afro-American Liberation. He awarded Nobel Prize of Peace in 1964. He said this.
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed : "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, weltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of 'interposition' and 'nullification', one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today."
We also have dream. Do you want to know what it is? As you saw the speech, no injustice and oppression, not judged by the color of skin, and our descendants hold hands each other without race and nationality discrimination. Let's move in step by step. Then, we can make dream come true.

Schindler's List, !

In 1939, the Germans move Polish Jews into the Kraków Ghetto as World War II begins. Oskar Schindler, an ethnic German, arrives in the city hoping to make his fortune. A member of the Nazi Party, Schindler lavishes bribes on Wehrmacht (German armed forces) and SS officials and acquires a factory to produce enamelware. To help him run the business, Schindler enlists the aid of Itzhak Stern, a local Jewish official who has contacts with black marketeers and the Jewish business community. Stern helps Schindler arrange loans to finance the factory. Schindler maintains friendly relations with the Nazis and enjoys wealth and status as "Herr Direktor", and Stern handles administration. Schindler hires Jewish workers because they cost less, while Stern ensures that as many people as possible are deemed essential to the German war effort, which saves them from being transported to concentration camps or killed.
SS-Untersturmführer (second lieutenant) Amon Goeth arrives in Kraków to oversee construction of Płaszów concentration camp. When the camp is completed, he orders the ghetto liquidated. Many people are shot and killed in the process of emptying the ghetto. Schindler witnesses the massacre and is profoundly affected. He particularly notices a tiny girl in a red coat one of the few splashes of color in the black-and-white film as she hides from the Nazis. When he later sees the red coat on a wagon loaded with bodies being taken away to be burned, he knows the girl is dead. Schindler is careful to maintain his friendship with Goeth and, through bribery and lavish gifts, continues to enjoy SS support. Goeth brutally mistreats his maid and randomly shoots people from the balcony of his villa, and the prisoners are in constant daily fear for their lives. As time passes, Schindler's focus shifts from making money to trying to save as many lives as possible. He bribes Goeth into allowing him to build a sub-camp for his workers so that he can better protect them.
As the Germans begin to lose the war, Goeth is ordered to ship the remaining Jews at Płaszów to Auschwitz concentration camp. Schindler asks Goeth to allow him to move his workers to a new munitions factory he plans to build in his home town of Zwittau-Brinnlitz. Goeth agrees, but charges a huge bribe. Schindler and Stern create "Schindler's List" a list of people to be transferred to Brinnlitz and thus saved from transport to Auschwitz.
As Schindler's workers begin to arrive at the new site, the train carrying the women is accidentally redirected to Auschwitz. Schindler bribes the commandant of Auschwitz with a bag of diamonds to win their release. At the new factory, Schindler forbids the SS guards to enter the production areas and encourages the Jews to observe Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath). To keep his workers alive, he spends much of his fortune bribing Nazi officials and buying shell casings from other companies; his factory does not produce any usable armaments during its seven months of operation. Schindler runs out of money just as Germany surrenders, ending the war in Europe.
As a Nazi Party member and war profiteer, Schindler must flee the advancing Red Army to avoid capture. The SS guards have been ordered to kill the Jews, but Schindler persuades them to return to their families as men, not murderers. He bids farewell to his workers and prepares to head west, hoping to surrender to the Americans. The workers give Schindler a signed statement attesting to his role saving Jewish lives, together with a ring engraved with a Talmudic quotation: "Whoever saves one life saves the world entire." Schindler is touched but is also deeply ashamed, as he feels he should have done even more. As the Schindlerjuden (Schindler Jews) awaken the next morning, a Soviet soldier announces that they have been liberated. The Jews leave the factory and walk to a nearby town.
After some scenes depicting Goeth's execution and a summary of Schindler's later life, the black-and-white frame changes to a color shot of actual Schindlerjuden at Schindler's grave in Jerusalem. Accompanied by the actors who portrayed them, the Schindlerjuden place stones on the grave. In the final scene, Neeson places a pair of roses on the grave.
After I watches this movie, I could think of Mother Teresa. There is her phrase; If you don't have the ability to feed 100 people, even if only one person is good so just show mercy. If we felt guilty and pleased for world peace, like Mother Teresa we must give mercy for one person. Then we can make it.

Feeling after meeting the refugee from Liberia.

Feeling after meeting the refugee from Liberia

One day, when I met a Nigerian friend, he came with 2 friends. I asked where they were from, and they answered they are from Liberia. When I asked the reason, I was very surprised at that. They answered they came to Korea as a refugee because of the conflict in Liberia. Until now, I could know about refugee from just mass media, but now, I saw them in reality for the first time. After meeting, I was very sad, because I could nothing to help. This may remain as one of pain in my heart.
There is still the war. Though we live in comfortable, somewhere of Earth, they are living in fear of death. Though they sought safety to the third country, they are suffering from poor life. I ask you a question. What will you do if you are in their shoes? Do you think you don't care anything else just only for your success? Please, think carefully. Now is time to advocate for the PEACE. Some people must think this is ridiculous. However, unless we do so, the tragedy will be continued. Do you want inherit the tragic society to your descendants? Now is time to move, and now is the time to seek the ideal society which is beyond the race, culture, boundary, and even the religion. Let's move for the peace together, and inherit the peace to our descendant forever.

Have to make the world peace !

Do you want peace? However there is still the war around the World. According to statistics of Swedish and Indian scholar, from B.C 3200 to A.D 1964, there are totally 14,513 times of war, and peaceful time is 329 years only. And 3.64 billion of people had been dead because of the war throughout the history. Especially, from 1740 to 1974, for 234 years, there had been 366 times of war, in average, 1.6 times per a year.

6th Jan, 2003 Thousands of USA soldiers going to the war place “Don’t go father.”

What do you want to say to children who are suffering from the war?
What do you want to say to those who start the war?
The children want peace.
The heart of children is crying for the peace.

Why the war happens and why the parents should go to the war and why young people should sacrifice their life for the war?
Should we inherit the painful world to our descendants??
We are crying for peace.
Though the power of one person is weak, if many people are together, peace will come true. Everybody please advocate for the peace.

Peace is our Dream ! " our " !!

I had fun with one of my Japanese friends living in Korea with having dinner for the first time in a long while.
We told about world peace once all of a sudden.
Actually we knew Korea and Japan didn't get alone with each other.
But we had the same mind about world peace.
It didn't matter that who was right and who was wrong to us.
The important thing was that we had the same vision about world peace.
As a matter of fact the people don't want war.
We were quite sure that the leader truly love the nation, he want the peace and bring a dispute and war to a close.

Peace !

Kunming in china, on 1st March, A terror was happened in a subway. 8 people from Xinjiang came in to the subway, attacked people and many casualties occured. there are many cases like this, occured from not only in China but also many countries. This is very sorrowful story. Each people's life is precious. So I hope the war may never happen again. If you want peace, share the message for peace together. Why we have to fight each other though we are in the same world. Though the power of one person is very mere, if many people gather the power together, Peace will come true with ceasing the war.

Nelson Mandela

South Africa's former president Nelson Mandela who had walked narrow and hard path to struggle for human rights.
"I have dedicated to fighting of Africa. I have kept an ideal that blacks and whites built a democratic and free society altogether.
In my ideal, all humans can be given equal opportunities and live in harmony. I'm ready to die for this." this heartfelt statement that a good black man left on the South Africa Republic court in 1964.4.20 spreaded to the world beyond South Africa and left a deep impression upon humankind. "Hope is a most powerful weapon even though there is nothing left."(1970)
It naver happened again that human got oppressed by human in this beautiful world."(1994)
As a South Africa's former president and Nobel Peace laureate he had fought devoting his life to unite between whites crossing the color line and blacks and make human rights for Africa to be true against hardship.
Nelson Mandela who had endured against many difficulties for almost one century and was the politician that lived up to his principles about forgiveness and harmony gave inspiration to everyone by taking not hate but reconcilement and not conflict but coexistence.
Even though he passed away, we hope countless young people join to make world peace come true following his dream.
We pretty sure one person's voice maybe quite low but if we all gather and peace can be made.

The viewpoint about peace through the inter-Korean family reunion

The viewpoint about peace through the inter-Korean family reunion
I saw the news that seperated families because of the war in 1950, they meet again after long time. I was sad that they couldn't meet each other though they are living in same place, days and as the same people. If the people who are eager to unification and peace heard this, they must be delight and thankful. The unification is the desire of people in all nations as well as Korean and the task which the government and Korean have to solve. Like this, I hope there are many people and organizations for peace and unification, and many people become one heart through their activities that many people can be touched.

Samiljeol ( The anniversary of the Independence Movement of March 1st) and Peace !

Sam il jeol ( The anniversary of the Independence Movement of March 1st, 1919)
1st March 1919, This day, Korea resisted to Japanse colonization. And this is the anniversary of reciting the declaration of independence to the world for showing the will of Korea's independence. Many events of this day were held in every places, not only in Korea, but also in abroad where Korean lives like Atlanta. I was deeply moved that many people in abroad never forget the mother country and make efforts for removing the dishonor by the fact that the only country in seperation. More surprising thing is many believers in Buddhism and Christianity and so on are willing to raise the awarness of unification. As they gather their hearts to one in spite of their difference, I thought we can share the will though the religion is different.

End the war !

While I was seeing the news from aborad, I saw many countries where is at war and the people are suffering from the war. I was sad that they are living in fear with what will be happened to their family or theirselves while I am living in comfortable. Recently 3 Koreans were dead because of bomb terrorism in Egypt. When I saw this article, I hope the peace could come faster. I decided to think what could and should I do as a young adult. I found that many young peaple were trying to make the peace by many ways. I would like to make the peace to all nations with many people by the event for peace.
